Yes, a 50% retainer is required to secure your date, and it's nonrefundable.

This is pretty standard in photography because once your date is booked, I stop accepting other clients for that day, so the retainer protects both of us: you know your date is locked in, and I'm able to commit fully to your day without worrying about a last-minute cancellation.

The rest of your balance is due 7 days before your session."

I offer payment plans for wedding packages, since they're a bigger investment and I want that to feel manageable rather than overwhelming.

Portrait sessions, elopements, and smaller bookings are paid with the 50% retainer and the rest of the invoice 7 days prior to your session.

I accept Square, Venmo, Check, Cash, Stripe, and Apple Pay

Life happens, and weather doesn't always cooperate if you need to reschedule, I completely understand. Your retainer will transfer to the new date as long as it's within my availability, and we'll work together to find a day that fits. If you need to cancel entirely rather than reschedule, the retainer is nonrefundable, but I'll always do what I can to be accommodating and work with your situation.

Right now, I stay mostly within Delaware for portrait and family sessions. For weddings, I'm happy to travel outside the state just reach out and we can talk about what that looks like.

I don't think of this as just showing up, taking photos, and leaving. I want you to feel comfortable enough to talk to me like a friend, share whatever's on your mind, and actually enjoy the time we spend together. I'm patient, I give you (or your children) space to just be yourself, and more than one session has turned into a relationship that's lasted well beyond the day itself.
